The Clinic
Excerpt from Apprentice to Angels
I have the great honor to work at a natural health clinic
situated in Palo Alto, California. Besides myself, we have
naturopathic and medical doctors, all highly trained and
very experienced professionals dedicated to healing through
natural methods. The head of the clinic is Dr. Connie Hernandez,
who has become a precious friend to me over the years that
I have worked with her.
I was brought to the clinic by Dana. It was the first week
that we were reunited in this life. We met on a Sunday
evening, and the following Saturday was one of the very
rare open
houses the clinic has ever had. Dana invited me to go.
At first, the offer was declined then I changed my mind
since
it meant being apart from Dana if I stayed at home. The
occasion of the open house was to introduce a new member
of the staff. I met Connie and her husband Dr. Marcel Hernandez.
There were many people there, so I did not say much more
than hello to Connie. The chocolate chip cookies, though,
were the best I have ever eaten, baked by our office manager.
To this day, it is repeatedly affirmed that these cookies
were the reason I joined the clinic.
I had left the healing arts several years before. Every
so often, a prior client would track me down and I would
see
them, and now and then would take a new patient. But
for all practical purposes I felt complete in my heart,
even
though the thought would keep coming back to me to be
a healer once more. Dana helped me to make that decision,
one last
time. And this time, I knew that I would never leave
my
earthly assignment for this life again.
Dana convinced me in about two seconds the necessity
for me to serve as a healer. There is something ingrained
so
deeply in my heart that responds to this need. It has
always been this way. Dana had a way of helping me
to see what
was the right thing to do. It could have been her smile,
or maybe
her eyes, or the way she would look at me with such
remarkable love. It made me feel, at that moment, like
I was the
center of the whole universe.
After the open house, Dana asked about my thoughts of
the clinic. I told her it felt like I should work there.
Dana
told me to call Connie and ask to meet with her.
Connie invited me to the clinic several days later.
She is very easy to speak with. Her patients love
her and
call her
Dr. Connie. We chatted and I told her a bit about
my healing work. She listened closely and quietly,
one
of her wonderful
qualities. She asked me what I really came to speak with
her about. My reply was that I belonged working at the clinic.
She immediately said, “Yes, you may work here.”
Many people with high degrees of medical education,
none of which I possess, request to work at the clinic
on
a regular basis. The answer is usually a polite, “No thank you.” But
Connie invited me to join the staff right away. She
told me that she had a dream about me the prior week.
In the dream,
I had a different appearance. But she was expecting
me and here I was.
Connie gave me a try-out session. She had a shoulder problem
that no one seemed to be able to do anything about. Later,
I found she had gone to one of the finest chiropractors
in the area but he was unable to alleviate the difficulty.
It
took me several minutes to do so, which seemed to impress
Connie, though I informed her that it was a very easy
problem to take care of. The clinic has been my home ever
since.
The clinic is a sacred place, where I
have the opportunity to practice the healing arts that
come natural to me.
Over the earlier years of my career, I obtained the
necessary credentials needed to satisfy all legalities,
of course.
But as an apprentice to angels, God’s divine
thoughts have taught me the healing methods I use.
I love being at the clinic. We have a very wonderful
staff dedicated to helping those who grace us with
their trust.
We all work together as a team to insure that our patients
receive the highest care possible. No one in the clinic
is considered better than another, and all of the doctors,
both
naturopathic and medical, regard and treat me as an
equal associate in the practice.
My role is varied at the clinic. Most of my work is
with Freeing, eliminating pain and suffering on a
structural level. But I also work with herbal and Dreamtime
healing.
And now
and then other things, too, including pure metaphysical
healing.
